Tu na krawędzi światów, gdzie trwa wieczny zmierzch, wypuszczam żal
Ze swojego serca, a jego czerń zalewa cieniem ludzki świat.
Mój wzrok sięga ponad umierające słońce słyszę jego
słabnący oddech.... Nadchodzi niekończąca się zima…
Poznałem, czym Bóg,
Poznałem, czym jest Diabeł,
Poznałem, czym jest człowiek.
Poznałem znaczenie słowa: samotność
Odrzuciłem zasady zniewolenia i zostałem wyklęty, a świat
zatrzymał się w miejscu i nie ma mocy ponad moją.
Przemierzam świat ludzi szukając w nim miejsca dla siebie i zaprawdę
nie widzę końca swej wędrówki.
Poznałem, czym Bóg,
Poznałem, czym jest Diabeł,
Poznałem, czym jest człowiek.
Poznałem znaczenie słowa: samotność
Mijając miasta, wioski i ludzi widzę ruiny, zgliszcza i trupie twarze…
Krążące kruki rzucają czarne cienie.
Pośród wrzasków ludzkich bękartów słychać skowyt splugawionej świętości życia.
Jestem świadkiem końca tego świata.
